As a member of the American Advertising Federation Club at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, I helped develop a campaign for Tide detergent highlighting its cold-water cleaning capabilities. Washing on a cold-water setting conserves energy and helps the environment. Tide aimed to inform consumers about this issue and motivate them to increase their use of cold-water for washing clothes. Our team created an app designed to monitor how often cold-water washing occurs. Customers who consistently used cold water for washing were eligible for discounts on Tide products to encourage the continuation of this practice. Users can set a timer for their laundry using the application, while simultaneously accessing instructional podcasts.
